Prospect
Prospect is a specialty coffee roasting and retail company started in 2014 by brothers Blake and Derek Ulrich in Ventura, California.
The identity we created for Prospect drew inspiration from the great legacy of American typographic branding. We were looking for a contemporary execution with an underlying sense of familiarity and character. Marr Sans by Commercial Type provided the perfect fit and works beautifully across a series of packages, each designed in a single size and weight.
A series of loose and relaxed illustrations again recalls some of the most iconic American brands. They appear throughout the expression of Prospect's identity, setting a local Ventura tone. Taking it easy is the spirit of this place.

Reducing both the hierarchy and information, the challenge was to make everything a headline. We love that the results are almost like a billboard in their simplicity.
