Airteam
A 100% Australian team making light work of complex software.
Airteam's 10 year anniversary signalled the perfect moment to reflect upon how things have changed. A decade is a long time in the world of technology, and they'd "outgrown the clothes that we were wearing". The big question was what to do about it.
It was a question well answered. Through close consultation with their clients and the with help strategists, Airteam came to us with a clear story to communicate who they are and what they do.
We distilled this vision further, building a new identity around the central notion that Airteam makes light of heavy loads.

Based on Schick Toikka's SCTO Grotesk A, the wordmark is customised to be more geometric and streamlined. A custom ‘rt’ ligature provides a subtle nod to the visual language of tech, and sits beautifully beside the mirrrored form 'ea'.
Size relationships with purpose balance the overall shape, with spacing guided by typographic form. Detailing of the underline is matched with heights derived from letterforms.
Distilling the communication of lightness, the humble underline becomes a brand signature throughout the Airteam identity.
It's shadow that elevates a floating object, it highlights key notions and it's a clickable link.
The 'human' touch of Airteam's work shines though our suite of illustrations. Heavy things are made light. Old thinking is made new.
Paired with Dinamo's Otto, a rounded serif that has friendly presence at display sizes, an editorial tone at small sizes, it's approachable and warm alongside our illustration.
